Hey guys, its me, Malcolm Hunter. There are sooooo many crazy thoughts that run through my mind every minute, and I think they're quite hilarious! You wanna get into my crazy big head? Then stay posted!!!
Okay Tumblr, isnt ‘Soul Food’ like one of the greatest movies ever??!! I remember when this movie came out in 1997, and I watched it everyday after I came home from school in the 2nd grade. NO LIE!! Since it is one of my favorite movies of all time, I just have to share some quotes with you all:
“Now ya’ll just cut out all that Who-Shot-John, ya’ll do this every Sunday.” -Big Momma
“Nobody’s cutting off my leg, and that’s that!” -also Big Momma
“My man’s name…is written all over my putty-kat.” -Bird
“Fuck the family!! The family out the family fucked my husband! That’s right, Faith fucked my husband!!” -Terry
The list goes on and on..put I think ya’ll get the point l0lz
REPUBLICAN NEWSPAPER COMPARES PRESIDENT OBAMA TO ‘SANFORD & SON’
OMG…can you believe this ish? Haha, okay we get it… President Obama is black and all, but really??? You put former Presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and the Bushes together, but put Obama with two characters that portrayed nothing relative to him except for the color of his skin! If that’s the case, put Bush, Jr. with an 8th grade educated redneck, and Clinton with Bishop Don Juan. Obama has been president for over a year ago, and he’s already proven himself better than the former Republican president. So, get over it, stop all the damn racism, and come up with some effective solutions.
Often times in life, we measure our success by how others view us or by the successes of those closest to us. We must all be our own person, and go after what is rightfully ours. I remember growing and telling my elementary school classmates that I wanted to own a chain of grocery stores. One boy told me, “Can’t no nigga own a whole bunch of stores!” That crushed my big dream. Often times as African Americans, especially men, we are categorized and stereotyped to the extreme; from education, to our careers, and towards our children.
What guess what?? Screw what your friends, family, and society has to say about what you can and can not do!! DREAM BIG!!! Your dreams may be too big for a narrow-minded person to comprehend, or so out-of-the-box for people to believe. There is no reason why a little black girl from an inner-city can’t dream of becoming the first African-American Female President, or a special needs boy hoping to win an Olympic Gold Medal. With the unlimited amount of resources out today, there is NO EXCUSE why you can’t at least strive to reach your ultimate potential. Let the world know, “I AM HERE AND I AM TAKING OVER!!!!”
